As a lot of you know, we bought a 1971 Ford Fairlane 500 to enter into the 2009 Variety WA Bash in August 2009. This incredible event raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for sick, disadvantaged and special needs kids.

The 2009 bash leaves from Adelaide, heads up to Alice Springs and then back to Perth.

Our car (number 86) is decked out in the Harry Potter theme and we are aiming to raise many thousands of dollars to donate to Variety. (The costs of running the car, entry fees, accommodation and flights are paid for by the owners separately.)

The 2006 vintage was a cool year in Margaret River; hence the wines are a lighter-bodied style, perfect for summer drinking.  Both wines have spent 2 years in French oak and 2 years maturing in bottle.
